Agree. Then, after we all accept lower wages, inflation sets in and all our expenses go up.

I beleive that Clinton took part in pumping up the markets so everyone would invest their 401k's. Then when it reached its peak, Bush Jr. was selected to rob all the peoples money for the Gangster Banksters. Now we will be thankfull tohave a job and be forced to accept lower wages which works out great for the Big Corporations which are owned by the Gangster Banksters.

Maybe the United States did this economic Crisis on purpose to bring down the rest of the world to where it was a 100 years ago. I mean we did sell these CDO's to other countries and owe China Trillions which they will never see again.

Thx for the report Mike. Tim Geitner is going to wreck the entire Country - and no doubt it will be a prolonged agony. I don't always agree with Krugman, but I believe that he's spot on on that score.

Re: emergency prep websites. It looks like the standard Hurricane preparadness Info we get here on the Texas Gulf Coast Every Year. Im sure Fema got stung over not addressing the needs of special populations during Katrina, Rita and later Ike. Many people died because of lack of preparation in all of those situations. I was in Rita and Ike and understand why they issue explicit warnings. I think they are just trying to cover all their bases (azzez) with the sites

Unless you are a member of her family or a close personal friend, then you are being dragged into a media generated 'frenzy' to distract you from what really counts. 1000s of people die every week in the UK; why should we focus on just one? The mystique of celebrity is dulling our culture and destroying our future.

It is standard 'official' CPI/RPI numbers; which discount rises in food and clothing - the things that actually matter are rising in price... and being blamed on exchange rates of all things! LOL
