@TeshawndaKing He shuts people down NOW, but my point was, not in CLE. Lebron was a very good HELP defender, which is about, like you said, anticipation and playing the passing lanes. But you can't name 1 guy that LBJ had on lock when he wore a Cavs uni because he didn't do that there. Pierce, Hedo, Ray Allen, Pietrus, Arenas, all put big numbers up on CLE because he wasn't doing what he is now. If he played d like he does now he woulda got DOY easy because NOW he is the best defender in the NBA

He shuts a lot of people down. Maybe you dont understand that defense isnt just 1 on 1 its also playing the passing lanes and anticipation which he is one of the best at. so before you generalize the defensive skill of someone who once again finished 2nd in defensive player of the year twice.

I watched A GANG of Cavs games and the only reason he got that high in the votes is because the writers liked those chase down blocks he got, but when when he was guarding somebody, HE NEVER SHUT ANYONE DOWN. The defense he played in may against BOS and CHI was something nobody ever seen him do.
