as feast help us to socialise and see other as freinds and the same time if you want you became inquisite on others culture and improving on spiritual consciousness
actually it is false to state that it is to celebrate the beginning of spring, it is actually of huge cultural significance to hindus and many bhuddists
Relax man, smodass...agree it has many meanings and is also celebrated differently in different parts of India... Holi is *also* a festival of colors and open for anyone in the world to celebrate. Hinduism is BTW not a religion but a way of life (anyway that is beside the point).
Dude I don't even know anything about this religion, I just had an opportunity to participate in it and photograph the beauty there. If you take offense to the name itself you have missed the point of the video itself as it's not suppose to offend but rather share the beauty of the event itself and I call it the Festival of the Colors because that is how they advertised it. I just checked their site and they have it shown now as Holi, so I appreciate you bringing that to my attention.
Please do not call this festival of colors. Please call it by its real name, which is Holi. Holi is much more than a Festival of Colors. Do not secularize this Hindu tradition.
Hi -- I work at the temple (that's me scratching out the vocals on your video, in fact) and wonder if you'd mind emailing the photos you took or dropping off a cd of them or something..? It looks like you took some really nice shots, might throw a few into our online gallery if you don't mind. Thanks, Mikela
so much fun

The hare krishna temple itself promotes it as the festival of colors so it doesn't seem like it's too big of a deal to call it that.
