I had a masterclass with Gary Ryan last week. On the night he played at Queen margerets school in Escrick near York. Before he played this piece he spoke about how he wrote it and why, Lough Caragh is a beach in Ireland and he based it on his daughter when they were on holiday.

This is a really beautiful piece by Gary Ryan. It brings back memories of a great concert he did at The Point, Southampton UK organised by Southampton Classical Guitar Society when he played this piece. He is a great composer, performer and teacher.

I agree with all the praise below. Just want to add that he's a nice lad too - he was very generous after a concert and helped me add his fingering to my copy of a Scarlatti piece that he had just performed.
