  • I am beginning to come to the conclussion that this hystericle reaction from the GOP against President Obama's re-election bid has more to do with Obama specifically than it does with him being a Democrate.

  • @VoVaKissCam republicans have been doing this for decades.. they are the kings of dirty tricks...now they are putting their dirty tricks into law new Jim Crow laws are being passed all over the country

  • dear parties why do away with the electorial college and have the president and vp win an election by a simple majority - gop must be afraid they will lose influence

  • By the legislature and governor doing this, they are doing EXACTLY what the founding fathers intended, with respect to the electoral college, which was to RESTRICT voters direct access to voting for president, AND to leave it up to the states. Only the people of PA has the right to bitch and moan about this, and if they don't like it, then they can vote into office a Democratic legislature and governor to change it.

  • The GOP has NO CHANCE of winning the state of Pennsylvania in a presidential race, unless they pull off a near 50 state sweep. THIS is why it is only DEMOCRATS who oppose this action, because they know that PA is already in the bag as a deep blue state, just like New York or Massachusetts.

  • @michaellusk45 who did reconstruction and the ripping off of the ex slaves.. oh yeah that was the republicans

  • @DisturbedHavok how so? Each congressional district has roughly the same amount of people. In the current scheme: if you're in Brooklyn and you vote for Obama along with the rest of your district but NY state goes republican, the elector (member of the electoral college) from Brooklyn would vote republican. How is that representing your wishes? How can the current system be better for democracy?

  • @mdozturk Actually, with this type of system being proposed, if you live in a heavily populated area, your vote would count less in the Presidential election.

  • Its called divide and conquer. They started with killing the unions, now on to the electoral college.

  • @Badeshatube The problem is that if noone is going to pay the bill you will have debt problems far worse then they are now. RON HAS NO ANSWER FOR THAT. He is a moron liar. He wants you dead instead. Deal with that. Oh and ron is more liberal then I AM.

  • @NoogLeader Maybe you should learn some stuff before you open your big mouth. hospitals dont turn people in a emergency away. Its the bills said person is left with. maybe your should actullaly learn waht ron is about. I was an idiot liberal punk before Ron Paul. Ron is only a fiscal conservative.

  • @mdozturk But is it being considered in Texas?
