really your filing system is what makes or breaks you when your going high volume like 20-30 inserts a week. if your doing anything in excess of 25 inserts i recommend an alphabetical list with value and expiration date for reference and just don't clip anything.
ohhh and forget trying to clip food and non-food if your doing high volume. my food binder is 3 inces thick and can barely fit just the food and green section. all other categories go into ziplock baggies and i staple 3 or more copies together. if a coupon from non-food is good enough i put it in my green section up front. also you want to make a page up front for Catalina. if ur like my and are obsessed with cvs pharmacy you want a separate wallet for the 6 or 7 cvs cards youll have.
i do this with every month for every category and while it seems like a lot youll find that your saving yourself HOURS not minutes when you search for expired coupons. one tip i offer couponer's who want to learn the dark side of the force is this. coupons cant be coded to expire in the middle of the month. if it expires on the first the actual date it wont scan anymore is around the last day of the month or first day of the month after. so i clean my binder out in 5 minutes. literally.
see categorys are good but when she has to check for expiration its going to be bitch sorting through a huge ass binder. i sort all my coupons by category starting with high value and obviously good coupons in what i call the green section. then i have a page for rain checks. but the most important part about my binder is that the coupons are sectioned off by expiration date. so january 1st-15th are in one section for every category then the 16th till the end of the month are in the next section
Hi, Just saw your video and once you pulled out "Monster Notebook" WOW, I could feel my back bowing into. My God thats got to way a ton! Ha Ha Ha. Years ago I got a small brief case that fits inside the kid seat area of the shopping kart that is easy to file and carry around.
I cam imagine the looks you get when you pull that monster out your bag. Hope you are still couponing? good luck
