Pedro The Lion - Fade Into You (Mazzy Star Cover) .Couldn't find this cover anywhere so here it is. Good song. I've been informed that it isn't actually Pedro The Lion so if anyone knows who really made this cover please tell me.

really want to know who this is? it's jeff elgas singing and marc stevens playing guitar. recorded around 1998 in a dorm room at michigan state university. i know because i was singing it. i had a cold at the time :)

He's playing guitar on it, not singing. I don't remember who the singer is, but I remember when this first aired.

@speedythecat yea i guess you're right. i've seen a lot of that too. I'm still dying to find out who this cover really is though. Until then I'm just gonna have to keep it labeled as pedro the lion because anybody who's heard it thinks it's them.

eh - stuff gets mistagged once and spreads from there. we used to do that on purpose back in the napster days. retitle merzbow records as dave matthews band, fun stuff like that.

anyway, this is not pedro the lion. listen to the anything else he's ever sung. it's not his singing voice, and neither of the voices in the beginning are his speaking voice. it's a nice version of the song, but is 100% not david bazan.

@speedythecat if it's not pedro the lion then please please please tell me who it is. i've heard the pedro the lion album version also and it does sound way different. but the only way to find THIS version is to type in pedro the lion. no other artist is ever listed and I doubt that some nobody managed to record this song in his basement and circulate it all around the internet without ever once taking credit for it. I'm willing to bet this IS PtL, it's just one of those unreleased 'lost' tracks

it's 100,000% for sure not pedro the lion. someone finally posted the real version. youtube wont let me post the link. but the real version is just over 4 minutes and starts out immediately with a guitar. also, it's like a whole octave lower.
