Country
From the beginning, Kimberly Murray was destined to be on stage and "Keepin' it Country"... She comes by it honestly. Even before Kimberly's birth, she was headed down the road to performing Traditional Honky Tonk Music, as her momma was performing with a 3 girl singing act along side artists such as Buck Owens, Tommy Collins, Larry Gatlin, Bill Mack, Little Jimmy Dickens and many other greats of the 1950's, '60's & '70's.

On the other side of the equation, her daddy was the Sheriff of Comanche County Texas for many years and she was raised in a home just below the jailhouse. Being in that environment as a child, Ms. Murray was gifted with a work ethic and set of principles you don't find much in the music business today... She even became a Corrections Officer herself!

Kimberly Murray has become an accomplished Singer/Songwriter that really knows how to put on a show! She too has shared the stage with some country legends, (like momma, like daughter), the likes of Gene Watson, Johnny Rodriquez, Johnny Bush, Curtis Potter, Tony Booth, Leona Williams and more, but the thing you'll notice when you see Kimberly's show, is the artful combination of great Traditional Country Music with an amazing youth and vitality that makes the style almost new again!! To hear those great songs from Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Jeannie Pruett, and Connie Smith with a renewed energy and vitality, intertwined with her soulful originals, is quite the treat!

Kimberly travels mostly throughout the Great State of Texas with her band of troubadours, The Lost Lawmen, but also travels as far as the Great Northwest; Oregon, Washington and Idaho, where she's making quite a name for herself.

Kimberly's debut album, Once Upon a Time in a Honky Tonk, has had critical acclaim as far away as England, Scandinavia and other parts of Europe, as well as right here in the good 'ol U.S of A, where it can be heard regularly on Sirius/XM Radio, as well as commercial radio around Texas.

In 2009, Ms. Murray was honored with The Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists for Pure Country Song of the Year, her duet with Jake Hooker, "Living & Learning". This is quite an accomplishment for a debut album... and it is sure to not be the last award she'll receive.
