This was the 3rd Game of the 1996 Playoffs in Winnipeg where the Jets would take on the mighty Red Wings at Home for the first time in the series. The Jets lost the first 2 games in Detroit only to head home and get a huge boost from the Winnipeg Fans! Once again this year, the fans came out, dressed in white to help support their Team and the world famous “Winnipeg Whiteout” would not dissapoint! The Jets would end up sending the crowd home happy tonight with a 4-1 Win scoring 3 times in the 3rd Period.
With the win, the Jets would close the Gap to a series lead for Detroit of 2-1. Detroit would go on to beat the Jets by a series final of 4-2 however; the Jets went out fighting and is something that ALL Jets fans can still be proud of today!
