    Not a hundred percent sure, but I think Zoot was recorded earlier in 1976 - before Pat and Ed arrived. Bozzio was there before they were.I think this was a transitional period between the departures of George Duke and Roy Estrada. Andre Lewis was keyboarding around that time too - check the credits on Zoot Allures.

    This is (approximately) the band featured on the cover of Zoot Allures. Does anybody know why FZ decided to perform the studio tunes himself with TB drumming instead of recording with Roy Estrada or Pat O'Hearn & Ed Jobson, since he had been playing live with these fellows? Just curious. FZ made many artistic changes in personnel & musical directions over the years, so no criticism implied/intended.
