  • Memories of Brownrigg School and sunday afternoons spent walking up Hareshaw lynn outside Bellingham, North Northumberland in the early 1960s.

  • @ipi5hl Hello bud, appy new year to ya. Regardless of Englands existence tho geez, the people were Angle/Northumbrians as far north as Edwins Burgh so surely southern Scotland should be part of England, quite a lot of Angle DNA floating about in that area as shown in various scientific studies. But ya can have Middlesborough tho mate, we'll have all your Tunnocks tea cake factories in exchange :-)

  • @tommy3lions Yes it was an angle kingdom, but England didn't exist. The Treaty of York carved up large parts of Northumbria between England and Scotland. As far as the 18th century going south of middlebrough was referred to as 'going to england.'

  • @ipi5hl But Northumbria was an Engle kingdom that stretched from the Forth to the Humber, why should it not be in England? It's people , the Engle (Angle) gave their name to England? Or do you mean Northumberland the county and if so, why?

  • Sitting here with my feet tapping

  • those tickas are alright ay?

  • Marvellous!!! :)

  • Jayzus, it's a couple of hours I'm listening to her via YouTube, and cannot get enough.............wonderful piper, wonderful fiddler, wonderful musician....
