@jonobyrne It's really that expensive. There are a huge amount of switches that control all the systems on the car housed in the wheel, it is hand made from carbon fibre and designed to be as light but also as strong as possible - the whole wheel weighs 1.2 kg. Don't forget the actual connection between the wheel and the car which must be detachable and yet be strong enough to handle steering stresses and transfer the myriad of electronic signals. The driver will have 3 wheels per GP minimum.

i know fuk all about cars and F1 and prices, but that sounds rediculous.

im just curious to see if that is thhe actual price or....
