  • @Bastion83 I think it's just to give a basic idea of how the moves in the form translate into applications... to do it 'real time' probably just looks like wrestling... I believe to learn taichi at advanced levels you need to do the push-hands and all it's variations, which gives more insights into the techniques and strategies of taichi... I used to get frustrated with this demos when I bought all kinds of VCDs in China (all looked similar) , but it's just the culture of the TMA I guess...

  • Nice clip Eric. Thanks for posting it. ; )

  • At 2:30 into clip you see the attacker clearly continue his attack with other moves. Now this may be basic but it is neccesary to learning for everyone.

  • @Bastion83

you are being too unrealistic. buy 1 video and you don't need a teacher anymore.

  • I mean no true offense but I do wish that these videos( and im sure this is meant to be instructional hence why the attacker is always not fighting back after the initial movement) would show after the demonstration how fast it needs to be done if they opponent is resisting etc. No offense meant to either man or style, just my personal tick as it were. *bows* Live well train well
