The Little Pend Oreille Wildlife Refuge in Northeast Washington is spectacular this time of year. A short hike from the visitor kiosk at Headquarters unveils one beautiful scene after another. Deer and birds are the main denizens of this forest in winter, but bobcats, elk, and moose sometimes make an appearance. Riley is along for the hike. He got to walk free for the video shots, but was on the leash as required at thter times.
