These fraternal twin spans link Port Huron, Michigan to Point Edward/ Sarnia, Ontario where Lake Huron drains into the St. Clair River which drains into Lake St. Clair, the Detroit River and onward to Lake Erie. The northern span was built in the 1930s and the southern was completed in 1997. The depot at the base of the bridge is the original depot that Thomas Edison sold newspapers and began tinkering with science in the 1860s.
