I bought that model in June 1981 for $600. Weighed a ton. Remote pause woopy.
It packed it in in about 1987.

Sanyo had the "that's Life" campaign for sometime.. I wonder if Derryn nicked it off them ?
Poor old betacord .. a superior system but destined to become a Clock.
I still have some beta tapes recorded between 1980 and 1984 and they've retained a slightly better picture qualitry than their VHS counterparts.. but that could be because they haven't been played so often.
