how to play the solo (both versions) to Haunted Evanescence

Hey, didn't have time to make a full Haunted tutorial, if anyone wants a full one, leave a comment and I'll make one. This is for the solos - Terry Balsamo and Ben Moody's solos - to Haunted.

Right idea for the Moody solo. Instead of sliding upping to the 5th fret there for your pinch harmonic, bend the 4th a half-step up hit an artifical harmonic at the same time.

@kaarankin69 The reason the first abum was depressing was because of Amy. She wrote most of Fallen's songs when she was real young like 15 and 16 with Ben. She was real "EMO" back in the day. But for the second album she wrote that with Terry in her 20's. She was way more mature and grown up by that time. I agree I think Ev is better without Ben. Ben was good and is good, but his ego was to big and his guitar work is just based around the E power chord. I was a fan of Terry before he joined Ev.

@Deathtour2929 yerr that's why i think terry is a great fit with Amy hes really a chilled guy and doesn't take things so seriously. But i dont understand why people prefer Ben i actually dont like his writing in the first Album i thought its really stupid cause half the songs were about suicide/depression and Death Really EMO. Their 2nd album was more matured than the 1st album. then the 3rd album seems like its more fun and less depressing.

@kaarankin69 Terry is just shy in front of the camera. He is actually a very out going person. He doesn't like the spotlight. I think which is why he and Amy work well together. Terry is laid back not trying to be become the best, he just wants to write music. Ben wanted to be huge. He loved the attention. He wanted to make Ev bigger. Amy didn't. Ben wanted them to become very commerical. Terry is the opposite of that.

@kaarankin69 Lol ya Ben's guitar work on Fallen was very repetitive. But to be fair Terry pretty much uses power chords also in both The Open Door and the new album. I agree Terry is a great rhythm guitarist. His lead work is average. But Ev's sound is not build around the guitars so it doesn't matter. Ben wrote songs that were radio friendly. Mainstream. His singles were better cause of that. I would say Ben's best guitar work was Haunted. Terry's best was Your Star.

@wikki11 He is indeed a good musician but His ego is so big that his head is right up his ASS. Terry is a quite guy and doesn't talk much he just does what ever and doesn't seem to be so fancy although he's not the best guitarist but hes more creative than Ben in the rhythm department he actually uses different chords in every song instead of the same old E5 which ben uses in the whole Fallen album.

@Deathtour2929 all of Ben moodys guitar chords the whole Fallen album is pretty horrible it was all the same in every song. however the solos were above average. The Open door might not be Ev's Best album but i like the guitar work on that album than Fallen because of the creativity in it.

The verse is just an E5 power chord hit over n over

The chorus is The E5 power chord and a bunch of octaves.

That is pretty much what it is. Maybe a lil variation here and there.

Just google it if your ear is weak.
