When the main event at Affliction: Day of Reckoning goes off tonight between Andrei Arlovski and Fedor Emelianenko, there will be many interested spectators. Two of these will assuredly be Freddie Roach, a boxing trainer that has been working with Andrei Arlovski, and M-1 Global VP Jerry Millen.

After all, they apparently have a $5,000 bet on the fight.

When Millen offered up a friendly $1,000 wager that Emelianenko would be victorious, Roach upped the anty to $5,000 in favor of Arlovski. After all, Roach has indicated that he believes Arlovski's superior boxing skills will dethrone Emelianenko, an MMA fighter that many believe to be the greatest in the world right now and possibly the best ever.

@GeneralRushHour yeah im a fedor fan as well. Hes one of my favorite fighters, but im not one of those ppl that think fedor or anyone is unbeatable. Fedor is human, although he was machine like in his prime. Idk if we'll see more of fedor, hopefully we will.

@reaperofgenocide Thanks, i´m a fedor fan myself but i´m realistic enough to realise that the sport has evolved without Fedor. I think that if he would go down to LHW, join UFC he would literally murder people. Oh and start training all over the world to learn new things.

Basically the train has left the station so he better know how to run if he want to dominate once more in his career. What he has that no other fighter has is his psyche. totally different mentality.

Freddie Roach knows what he´s talking about. Fedor was getting owned in the boxing department but what Roach did not consider is Fedor´s ability to knock people out in all types of situations..

@russicol Freddie always talks stuff like "my fighter will win in the first round" and "my guy will knock the other guy 2 minutes in the first round", but he really respects Fedor. In an interview he said that the fighter he would have most liked to work with was Fedor, because he's got some flaws in his balance but with proper technique he'll be unstoppable on the feet.
