former WP or SP?

@meccaturbo Both the SP and WP ran on this line through Elko and it is now owned by Union Pacific. There is actually a park in Elko that has a Western Pacific engine on display.

@CoastStarlight11 Yes, but there is both former SP and former WP track in Elko, and I was wondering which track this one is. They didn't share the same track through Elko.

@meccaturbo If I am correct I think Western Pacific owned the Feather River Canyon Line and Southern Pacific owned the Donner Pass line. In Elko they have two lines, one is for east bounds and one is for west bounds, however the Donner Pass line and Feather River Canyon line merge into one line 16 miles east of Winnemucca at a spot called Weso. There is a switch today in Wesco that diverts trains to either the Donner Pass or Feather River lines.

Does UP Have A Yard In Elko, Nevada Since I Noticed One On Google Earth Near The East Side Of The Town, Or Does That Belong To Another Railroad If So Which One?

@NARSConductor Thanks! Yes Union Pacific does have a yard in Elko, Nevada. Elko, Nevada is actually a crew change point for UP.
