To be completely honest, Chad Bradford is one of those pitchers who have a "pitch-identification irony" when he releases the ball. His submarine windup is so perplexing that you might think they actually throws the ball at the ground, thus causing it to make a huge leap towards the batter and catcher. I wish that specific talent was innate to me.
Many professional hitters actually admit that they would rather face a pitcher throwing in the high 90's rather than to face a sidearmer. Sure, the fear factor in facing a sidearmer isn't as great as it is against a flame thrower, but it takes more skill and focus to hit a sidearmer.
