  • Is there also an Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool?

  • @churchwhistles Yes it's just a few minutes walk down the road from the Roman Catholic one.

    Type "liverpool cathedral" into Wikipedia.

  • its my choir

  • Excellent work!!

Sadly I've never heard the choir in person. I have been in your cathedral once though, on a day when the sun was streaming in through all that stained glass. Quite a sight.

  • Amazing!

  • Excellent.

  • @expostfactum Yes, but Protestants say the same, because catholic means universal.

  • @expostfactum Just to clarify, when Anglicans recite that we believe in "one, holy, catholic and apostolic church", the use of the word "catholic" means "universal" rather than "Roman Catholic".

  • I love liverpool

  • Just realised there was a debate going on, some time ago, regarding the robes worn, and music sung, by Anglican and Catholic choirs. Does it matter, don't we all worship the same God? And rejoice together in that faith - the way this country's going it's a belief which binds us together.

  • They sound as wonderful as ever, recognise some of the men but not the boys - they come and go (as my son did, but it's a memory to be treasured).

Personally, I like the ruffs (Adam might not agree - but he did like the 'Batman' cape, for cold nights!).

  • Wonderful stuff. One of my favourite choirs - and cathedrals. Bill Ives is a brilliant and greatly underated composer.
