Why is it you american's always have to make comments saying how much worse things would have been if this were USA?! Like it's a competition. This wasn't in the US so the comparison is unrealistic. America is an extreme country in many ways, so OTT. You are allowed to have guns, and have terrible crime rates, so it's inevitable that sitations are more escalated. It's all relative, but either way we have rights, and they should be respected at all times.
