ok, I have some vids on my bikecamcinema channel, but I don't do any tours or highway stuff, just some basic vids with a camera. I fig. you must go at least 6 mpg to go anyplace faster than walking (2 to 3 mph) and 10 to start moving good. I have a heavy Schwinn Searcher comfort bike. I can get up to 14 or 15 mpg for a mile, and about 20 downhill.

Recumbent bike?

Yah, USS SWB. This was an earlier video. I now run with the camera on the boom rather than on one of the seat back uprights so nearly all of the crank spin visibility is gone. It also means reduced risk of the camera hitting something (squeezing through the baracades in Wash. D.C. was tough).

Wow, great trip. I guess your sitting in that bike, it must be somewhat relaxing, whats a typical average speed of that bike?

It's like being in a recliner, except you still have to do the pedaling. While doing the W&OD century I was sustaining 25mph on the flats but this is not typical for me. On my just finished tour through FL my daily 100 miles took about 7 hours, giving 14mph. So I'd say removing the delays (red lights, etc.) would give a typical cruise of 15-17.
