This is an adaptation of a Hebrew poem I have posted here.
---
When I sin
I feel shame
And you, mr. prime minister?
When I forsake my sons
I know there is repentance
And you, mr. prime minister?
When I look in the mirror
My weakness slaps my face
And you, mr. prime minister?
The blood I murdered and washed off of me
I can still remember when I lay in bed
And you, mr. prime minister?
The lines on my face
My sins
My shame
My falling
pools of water and inexplicable pain
Until I know forgiveness
Until I know atonement
I do not make the world turn
Nor do I conduct creation
Nor do I run the country
And you, mr.,
Prime minister ?!
This is a message that free people need to send to all the movers and shakers of government. Do not let them forget that having the power of state to support their decisions does not excuse their sins or release them from accountability.
