"I like Akshaye as an actor" - Anil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor has always been known to experiment with his roles as well as looks. With Gandhi My Father on the anvil, we saw his new face, one that of a producer. Anil is visibly excited about the whole project.

About the film he says, "In this film, you will see Gandhiji as a father with four sons. The eldest was Harilal and this movie is from his point of view. It's the story of the conflict between the father-son duo." He adds, "The film is based on true facts. It's very well researched."

At a time when actors have begun producing films just to star in it as well, Anil decided to stick to the role of a producer only. He says, "I should be very truthful to the script. We needed someone who was younger and had no specific image. Moreover, I like Akshaye as an actor."
