  • that is pretty good. is there any reason why i shouldnt use a steel cup? im thinking better heat conductor thats all.

Would rock wool that they use for wading furnaces be ok instead of pellets?

  • @neogastropoda1 You are right. In other construction (see video) I use steel cup.

  • @neogastropoda1 rock wool can be used, I think, but it has worse max temperature resistance.

  • can you use cement for the surrounding?

  • @wow1022 yes

  • Whats Haydite , whats hypsum ?????????????????

  • well useing a 1000 watt heater unit your going to use about 20 cents per hour give or take 10 cents so as long as you melt more than a pound at a time your atleast not waisting your money, unless you mold metal of course

  • @cassiavc thats called a calrod, the thing thats on top of an electric stove. there like $40 so if you just go to an apliance return shop or something theyll probably let you grab a few old ones off of a stove.

  • @ivanov3000mltk ah, hmmmm. i may have a word with my friend who works in a melting shop, see what he can aquire lol

  • Where can I get the isolate heater? eBay?
