2010 Ford Taurus. The original 1986 Taurus looked and drove differently from anything in Ford's portfolio -- or anyone else's, for that matter - and it quickly became America's best-selling car. Ford, no doubt, would love for the latest, radically restyled Taurus to strike a similar chord in the country's car-buying heart. The automaker says the new model's sculpted exterior projects themes of "sporty, muscular, athletic and formal," and that its craftsmanship and quality, inside and out, are "comparable to costly German luxury sedans." So far, we've seen no good reason to counter those claims. Only one engine will be available at launch -- a 263-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 -- but powertrain options will include a choice of two new six-speed automatic transmissions and front- or all-wheel drive. Available technologies include a Cross Traffic Alert system that looks left and right while backing out of parking spots -- a feature not offered on the 1986 Taurus. I'm glad to see domestic American cars get a great redesign. It will be interesting to watch it compete with other popular, import family sedans like the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.

im not a big fan of ford but i have 2 say some of their new models r impressive, i like the new fusion, this taurus looks nice, i think its much more attractive than the 09 model, i didnt like the taurus after 1995, any taurus before 1996 was good, the 1996-2006 was borin, this new 1 looks sporty gm + chrysler hasnt offered anythin that impressive ford is makin solid come backs, atleast ford didnt ask any bailout money unlike gm + chrysler

the best ones were the early ones, coz they look cool. (they did one on the US version of Pimp My Ride) this one looks crap. all new Fords look crap.....

i think all of them are ugly other than the 4th gen which is ok... and the new one which is pretty cool

Well I've heard many people speak of how ugly the new one is. Although that's not my opinion. I like it. But in my opinion the only ugly gen Taurus Ford made was those gen3s with the oval rear window.
