Do you remember what to do when you see the flash?

Its a clip of the old duck 'n' cover video were Bert the turtle tells you that a newspaper can protect you from a nuclear bomb...Actually my theory is that you duck and cover so that you dont see the horrible burning death come towards you.

If you're looking at the flash then yes you may be blinded. As for taking cover from the incoming shock wave, not really. Depending how far away you are you'd have a couple seconds to get away from windows etc.

We watched it once a year when I was in elementary school. We had "pretend" drills, just to make sure we would duck and cover. The school bell had a long buzzing sound, then a couple of short rings. Yeah, right ...like we were going to have enough time to even hear the bell..or hide....this memory makes me very angry. What a thing to do to children! B***ards.
