After playing around with simulating electric fields with Coulomb's Law for a while, I decided to revisit audio reactive strange attractors, this time also using the audio to modulate the "nuclei" reacting with the attractor turned electron cloud. The results were quite pleasing.

There are many ways to use the nuclei in the simulation. At first there is a single stationary nuclei that is being modulated by the audio. Just before the 2 minute mark, I add a second nuclei, and make them both mobile. I let this situation run even past the end of the song because the numerical simulation is beautiful in it's own right, even without modulation.

The indelible music is Beggar's Prayer by Emiliana Torrini.

  • Very nice my friend, very nice. With the movements, I am reminded of flocks of birds. /watch?v=81wFZavdhPU
