Therapy pets are very valuable and usually enjoy their work. Damn idiot groups like Peta and their positions that are based in emotion and not fact.

@kimdrimantrent Yes such a shame that is should be treated with respect and diginity by a vastly superior species of primate, such a shame it should help and aid an injured human being, injured humans should be left to rot, as they can't do things any more! That's how it would be out in the wold, after all, injured humans would just die out! And while we're at it we should all hunt and forage for food, as keeping pigs and cows in cages is wrong! ... Grow the f*ck up.

A cruel shame that they are “trained” for 7 years to be a slave for the rest of their life (35 years!) to some unfortunate f@cking human! Taken from their mothers at an early age, separated from their own kind, denied their family unit, and forced to live a totally unnatural life doing unnatural things and not foraging freely as they should in the wild. These are wild animals, people. As wild animals they do not do these things naturally and still have their wild instincts. Unbelievably cruel!!

@kimdrimantrent They enrich the life of people who have had severe accidents and can no longer effectively care for themselves. Is that really such a bad thing? They are treated well by the people who care for them, and they seem happy enough. I dont see the problem here.
