@silicon605 Writing in all caps and with a patronizing tone of superior intellect, now that is childish. Next time use a crayon.

Nicely done Sir. We have a few of those type of giants but most of em are in the outlying areas now. Highclimber for life bro started real young I'm in for life and comin up on my 20 years unbelievable. Only a few nagging injuries that are manageable for now thanks for posting it's a tough line but I love it.

I really like the vids.
But why drown everything in heavily compressed rock music? Have to turn it off completely.
I would much prefer listening to the roar of the chain saw and listening to your comments as you are working!
Peace

some of the big firs that grew near Snoqualmie Washington were 300 to 400 feet tall. A news paper from 1921 shows a climber topping a spar tree at 275 ft, and the top looks like it is 60 to 80 feet tall. That was standard growth big timber in the old woods of that era.
The golf course that the tree was on required a habitat snag left of at least 10 meters, otherwise it would have changed the layout of the fairway, making the hole easier. Also the only corridor to fall the tree into would have required felling (and cleaing up) a half dozen other 160' firs, meaning climbing and piecing it down was the faster option.

why would you climb a tree you could flop? if they was worried about holes why wouldn't you rope that shit out??? waste of energy and time

Ha, assume that you would have down a better job. Strap on some gear and get some ropes my friend it is going to be a looonngg day, and guess what? You couldn't hack it.
