Kinda humorous that you said valve would never release their official video making gadgets.

@Joshslick The replay system doesn't even come close to what Source Film Maker is meant to do. SFM allows you to record multiple takes and have them overlap, create custom animations for certain player instances, etc. The Meet The Team videos are created with SFM and you cannot even approach that level of ingenuity with the replay system. Not that I dislike the replay system, but I had hoped for much more.

Minigun totally doesn't do that normally.
As far as tutorials go, I've already made 2 using the replay system. It works well enough, but you'll have to record the traditional way for slow motion stuff. Slowing the host_cmdrate (or whatever the thing is) doesn't render the replay at that speed, only at regular speed. Also, credited you as an inspiration.

The FPS is also lower than usual, it renders at only 23 FPS. But a nice solution for crappy rigs.

@Xriloku Nice tutorials. I enjoyed the sentry jumping one since I never see people utilizing it in pubs. I believe the reason it renders at 24 FPS (or 23.97, however that works out) is because that's the traditional number for film. My concerns are more convenience related as I'd be pretty miffed if I got an amazing clip and the Replay download server crapped out on me. A few other issues like how long it takes to render clips at 720p are causing me to lean toward traditional recording methods.
