Favorite normal boss theme too! Not to mention I love the way the bosses fade away at the end of the battle. No other game has ever made me love boss fights this much.

@boitahaki Now that I think about, he is pretty good at Mario Brothers 2 for the NES...LOL! XD

@921144666 10th playthrough? this is fucking sick, man. Tell him to go look for treatment
or play other games, at least

@boitahaki I know what you mean...my friend is well over his 10th playthrough on FF7. And, I have beaten FF1-10, the Phantasy Star games, the Lunar games, the Grandia games, the Chrono games, most of the Shinging games, and so on. Don't get me wrong...FF7 is awesome and is in my top 3 RPGs of all time. But, the only thing I can talk to him about is FF7 and nothing else because that's all he plays...feel kinda sorry for him...lol! :-)

Yep, this is definitely the best normal boss theme I've ever heard, and I've played all the FFs except III, up to and including FFX.
The only other ones I can think of that even come close would be the boss themes from Chrono Trigger (all of its boss themes are really awesome) and FF VIII.

too bad people play FF6 or FF7 and shut their minds about all the other good RPGs out there

I liked the Dissidia arrangement

This is a good composition, but only the beginning, as in the first 20 seconds (could stretch to 30), really feels like battle music to me . It's a recurrence I've found with all the battle music of FFVI, with the exception of Dancing Mad, which practically tells a story by itself.

FFVI is my favorite FF as well , too bad that it was so easy ! I must have beaten it 20+ times since i'm a kid ahah.
FFVI truely is awesome, far too underrated. And I LOVED the giant party its the largest of any final fantasy other than the tactics.
