Another tour de force from Mairead !First, Mairead responds with a subtly deconstructed blank stare. Brilliant! Her look of concern and, well, nausea, to explain her interest in poetry is quite effective. Asked to advise young poets, her distant stare and bit of a squint speak volumes. Her reply to a question of punctuation is a toothy grin, making it clear that this is key to the growth/spiral/surge of her work.And the reading- Bravo! The mystery in whatever it was on that envelope is sublime!

Half way through I was like "OH! I get it!", lol. Are you trying to say that the only thing important about a poet is the poetry, which is why she didn't answer any of your questions?

It's just a silly take-off of an Academy of American Poets DVD, some of the "real" interviews are probably on YouTube too.
