The mission of the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is to educate people of all ages and backgrounds about 20th-century Jewish history, before, during, and after the Holocaust. Since opening its doors in September 1997, the Museum has welcomed more than one million visitors from around the world. The Museums Core Exhibition is at the center of the visitor experience, focusing on the Holocaust and pre- and post-war Jewish life. Special exhibitions, public programming, and contemplative spaces enrich the visitor experience.
