(We made a double batch in the video.)
Ingredients
1/2 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 cups whole almonds

Combine the water, sugar, and cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil; add the almonds. Cook and stir the mixture until the liquid evaporates and leaves a syrup-like coating on the almonds. Pour the almonds onto a baking sheet lined with waxed paper. Separate almonds using forks. Allow to cool about 15 minutes.

  • Do you use raw almonds?

  • @grcrgn No, they're not raw. They're just plain whole almonds. You can probably find them in the baking aisle. Sam's has a pretty good price on them.

  • @ErmUhOkFine Mine are cooling. I didn't see that so I used raw. What's the difference?

  • @newwoman1124 We've never made them with raw almonds. Let us know how they turned out! :-)

  • oh, thanks a lot, i had done candied almonds before but it had some honey on it and it got all stuck together in a block. Yours turned out perfect! i will try again tonight, hope mine come out like yours!! it was really helpful to see how they should look like when its time to take them out of the heat.

  • wait ,is thiss chocolate? looks good :)

  • Just made 'em. They're cooling now, but I can't wait to taste! They're incredibly simple to make... I am sick, yet I was able to pry myself out of bed to make them. I was tired of eating plain, raw almonds. :) Thanks for the video!

  • Stir, Stir, Stir, Stir, Stir...it crystallized. WOW. LOL excuse the sarcasm.....is this recipe simular to the Candied Almonds sold at farmers markets?
