Pro Tools for Beginners: Setting up a record session in ProTools pt.2

Hey everybody,

If you know me, you know that I've been writing and producing music for about seven years now. Using popular programs such as Reason, ProTools, and Ableton Live.

I've decided that it is time to start giving back. I am going to start producing video tutorials that teach new producers some of the best tricks and shortcuts I've learned over the past 7 years.

Hey could you make a quick vid describing the options when you select Track--New...?

You have options like sample vs tick and then Audio track, Aux Input, master fader, MIDI track etc...What's the difference between them or in what situations would you want to choose one vs another--thanks--I subscribed:D

Does anyone know if a line 6 pod studio ux2 is compatible with pro tools mp9?

i notice sometimes you create mono tracks and sometimes sterio tracks, why? why not all sterio, then just pan to your liking? please answer, Thank you!

re: switching between those two windows. Can you see both of them simultaneously if you have a desktop computer with two screens?

When i've recorded vocals and putted in effects such as reverb and exporting it to a Wav file all effects on the vocals is gone and just hear em with lots of volume?

Do u know whats the problem?

Did I somehow miss from 1-2 how to add the drums? You started off saying I have a new session with drums already in. How did you add the drumsS I have M-Audio Pro Tools Essentials.

I have the same problem as dominco. I don't have the start stop feature on top like you. I'm running a pro tools mp?
