Video from The Professor showing how to make Border Patrol Stew. 8 - oz. can of Bush's Baked Beans 3 slices precooked bacon 1 oz. Frito Corn Chips (I used Chili Cheese) 2 pkts. taco sauce
I find that most combinations of beans, meat, and tomatoes, with corn and/or rice, hits the spot and sticks with me a few hours.
I'll drink black coffee, if I must, but prefer a coffee drink with, cocoa powder, instant coffee crystals, a pinch of salt, cinnamon, and evaporated milk.
Also, buy aluminum foil cookie sheet, cut to form a windscreen for the stove.
@WaagooshTheRedFox Just dont want to carry empty cans for days and days. Bananas and oranges are good on trail and have vitamins dry food lacks. The heavier your backpack the less miles you can walk before exhaustion. And you will see a resteraunt eventually when backpacking in USA.
@bluemountaindrivepae then you are doing it wrong. unless you are just a leisurely backpacker.. because you cant survive on just noodles and freeze drieds.
great vid. The professor looks like he could be R Lee Emerys brother. Oooohrahhhj!

Canned food is to heavy for backpackers. We eat Knorr noodles, Knorr rice, ramen noodles, lowmein noodles or freeze dried food.
