  • President Roosevelt had a heart of steel. Being able to manage the country in the midst of the Great Depression AND World War II, I must say Roosevelt had a huge plate in front of him. May he rest in ever loving peace.

  • ... i find him strangely attractive.. ._.

  • @observer9670 Wasn't John Charles Daly also the first to broadcast on (ABC) television the news that the Russians had launched Sputnik 1 in 1957??

  • @NostalgicChannel Doubtful, supposedly he had cancer on top of everything else.

  • FDR is as great as Washington and Lincoln.

He took us from ruin to wealth.

He also won WWII even though he did not see the end of the war.

He is one of the greatest men in history.

    We need an FDR today.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • A good man. Rest in peace FDR.

  • Actually, the program CBS scheduled at 5:45 was "WILDERNESS ROAD", a short-lived sustained adventure series featuring the exploits of Daniel Boone involved with a "typical pioneer family"....

  • John Daly has the historical significance of being the CBS newsman who announced both the Pear Harbor attack and FDR's death. In between, he was a war correspondent for CBS News. He later went on to host What's My Line and was ABC's first television news anchor.

  • Could Franklin D. Roosevelt have committed suicide??

  • @MIKESOWELL You just know i got you BECAUSE I AM RIGHT<, you bigot.

  • @xvoy2002 I'm convinced that you are either a troll or extremely unbalanced. You will be blocked. Goodbye.
