@VikutaaChyaaruzu Thank you for the heads up! I have seen the videos for these new console versions. It has me salivating. The original Model 2 edition music will be there as well. I can now die in peace. :)

Good news, however -- in case you haven't kept up with what Sega's been doing, the International Speedway Corporation has allowed Sega to rerelease Daytona USA with the original name intact. The first ever official true arcade-to-console port is set to be released on October 25th for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, according to Sega in a press release and video trailer.
Trust me, I'm such a nerd about this, and I'm proud of it. XD

They could have gotten Takenobu Mitsuyoshi to sing something new instead of just silencing where it used to say Daytona. Even weirder that they then leave in the "Way-hay-hee" all by itself!

You know what, at least they have an instrumental version of the classic theme song. It's still awesome, even without that "DAY-EE-TOE-NAH" yell at the beginning. Better than nothing, really.
