Well...I recently have had many events and experiences happen that have really inspired and motivated me. So I decided to start physically dancing again...not striving to be a professional dancer. Just an artist with a voice. I have indulged in being a teacher and choreographer that I have neglected my on training and dancing. So here is Day 1 of a new dance beginning. (9-31-2009) Hoping to have more and more videos to see my own progress over time. : )

Join TOKYO every Monday and Wednesday from 3:00-4:30pm at Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood!!!

  • It's really nice to see you dancing. I guess I didn't realize that we'd seen lots of your choreography, but I don't think we've actually seen you dance. I can't wait to see more.

I'm also wondering if you actually meant to say improving (which is the gerund of the verb to improve) (in which case you haven't really given us anything to compare it to), or if you meant to say improvising or even "improv-ing"... I don't mean to be a grammar nazi, I'm just curious

  • Thank you for your words..they mean a lot to me!

To answer your question...Improving is slang in the dance world for Improvising. I just get lazy and let my proper English slip a bit. O:-)

  • Loved the move at 1:05. I love watching people improv. It becomes less about technique and more about dancing from the inside-out. And that to me is what dancing is about. Technique, of course, just makes it look better. I grow tired of watching dancers that are amazing only because of their technique. It's refreshing to see you dance and express. Not to mention you are very good!

  • Wow! Thank you so very much for those kind words!!!
