  • Nice Stove! Just a thought you might try is 6-8 holes spaced all around the bottom. Then your control band would have the same number of holes around it. That way you could control air flow all around the stove instead of just one side. I do not know if that would cause wind issues or not.

  • Definitely worth trying! Thanks for the advice and comment! Peace.

  • Great stove. I have enjoyed your videos. A person gets a lot of information from you, thats refreshing.

  • I try to convey as much info as possible. Teach a man to fish.... Peace.

  • that is cool

1 what is inside the ax can fiberglass???

and it need a few more air holes, it is still starved for air when it is all the way open

  • Fiberglass insulation, fiberglass tape, and stainless steel mesh. I know about the air issue. I solved that in proto 2. Thanks for the comment! Peace.

  • nice stove, only suggestion i have is the sputtering is a combination of the vent holes being too few and too close and the jets really need to be evenly spaced and at the correct angle for a good burn but overall very nice!

  • People like this will be the survivors when society falls apart. Their knowledge will be their wealth.

  • No we cant hear it, you have music playing..... :(

  • great video, great proto, great music< what or should I say who is it please?

  • great stove

  • way cool , ceramic insulation is now available in cast-able form that would greatly increase conservation of heat to intensify out put

  • top vid GREAT stove but cant hear a bloody thing I keep looking for the Indians love there music but a bit loud mate!

  • Have you ever tried a different fuel? Because I know that when I used denatured acohol it was unstable. Denatured alcohol is pure alcohol but with something in it (because 100% alcohol is illegal), so each batch is different. Go to your local auto parts store and buy HEET (in the yellow bottle). It is a gas additive used to remove moisture from system. It MUST be the yellow bottle though, NOT red. The red is made for diesel, it will burn like oil. Try it out and let me know what you think!

  • very nice stove . It looks like you really put some thought into the desing. great job

  • Nice work. The veggi can lid was a good idea too. I use a penny stove I built using the 24oz Heini cans, and after a month in the BWCA I'm pleased with it, and the simmer ring worked well. But I think I'll give your idea a try also...it looks like a good performer.
