This work has some problems. The immediate one is that it doesn't mention in the title or description that it's a kind of historical fiction. I thought I would be hearing of real reactions by the most infamous Nazi reading one of the most insightful literary critics, a portrait of extremes reacting to each other; instead shallow portraits of historical personae wielded for the sake of some didactic mandate are lobbed at me. The narrator's insufferably quavering voice doesn't help. How boring.
