  • Did you have knee injury before? What kind of injury did you have? If your knee is not so loose, the most common one is isolated ACL injury with/without meniscus tear.

  • Dr. Bancha,

my injury happened a month ago (playing soccer). My knee pop'd and dislocated.

I got x-rays taken. My knee cap is not back in place. It's sticking up and out, look like an inch. The ortho specialist diagnose my right knee with a tear in the ACL.

I'm waiting for the MRI appointment...which could be a month to two months from now.

How do i go about this?

Do I get it repositioned? I'm afraid that it will cause more damage to my ACL and Meniscus.

  • @bsifez

    Dear bsifez

You may have both ACL injury and patella( Knee cap) dislocation. The most important thing is to reduce the knee cap back in place. For the ACL, we can wait to do the reconstruction later. The results is prettey good, don't worry.

    Good luck

  • Does it hurt when the doctor does that? Same question as nicholas112588, how did this injury occur?

    Thanks!

  • The patient fell from height and her knee was dislocated. The major ligaments of the knee were torn. It doesn't hurt when I do the examination.

    Regards

    Dr.Bancha

  • How does this happen, I'd really like to know so I can avoid it as much a spossibe.

  • the mark on her knee sugests that the injury was induced by an arrow

  • @xtj2k5 Well, if you can do it yourself, with a chair, then you should probably have it checked out, but moving like the doctor did In this video, is some what normal, just not to that extent.

  • @jakerz96able You think that movement is normal? Cuz I can't move my other one like that at all.

  • @paev10 I know I just said the exact same thing to the guy above you. but I doubted you'd come back to this video and see it.

Well, I just had something similar happen to my knee. and the Doctor was trying to do it to my leg, but my leg wasn't letting him cause all the muscles were pulled tight. So he did it on my other leg (which was perfectly fine) and it was moving, so I'm pretty sure it's normal.

  • I can do this sitting down in a chair with my leg at a 90 degree angle, but it's not nearly as loose as the one looks in the video. Do I just have a partial tear or what?

  • Does the knee normally have a bit movement on this test? and how much is too much?

  • เคยเป็น แล้ว ทรมาน มากกกกกกกกกกกก
