our machine did not come with a cup, I am assuming that cup you have came with the maker?

@juxtn she did the small... the large (8 oz vs 4 oz) needs 2 pods

I had a senseo and really didnt like the coffee.. Tassimo much better..

Tassimo and Keurig coffee makers use coffee concentrates with preservatives...And they are too expensive for me as far as the machines and the associated "Discs" , so I have no experience with them...I'm cheap.
The Senseo is a sort-of drip/espresso hybrid...Lower pressure than an Espresso Machine but higher pressure than a Drip Coffee Machine.
The disadvantage with the Senseo vs. Drip is that you don't get the "Coffee Brewing Smell" in the kitchen when you brew a single cup.

hi, what tastes better coffee using your technique or coffee from tassimo or keurig? Is it true the seseo is an espresso maker and not a "coffee drip" maker? Willing using my beans through the senseo taste better than using through my cuisenart drip maker? thanks again!!

@ts808heaven: I just shove a flat-bottomed coffee filter in a 1-cup measuring cup, add my own freshly ground coffee into it and fold the coffee filter over for a do-it-yourself pod.
It's nice because you can use premium freshly roasted coffee beans and you can stuff more coffee into the Senseo than the pre-made pods.
The Senseo is a great machine.
Pre-made Senseo coffee pods suck.
You put the pad in the wrong direction.
