we all know now that Luongo's words, while stupid, were not intended to be offensive. I think it was one of those moments where instead of giving the media an analysis when they asked him for one, he should have just done what professional athletes usually do at press conferences: play dumb. tell them something unoriginal and vague, it prevents situations like this. he's learned his lesson.
