Here's the classic "Sohio Weather Sounder", as heard in a 1988 radio aircheck from WNCI in Columbus. The announcer is Dave Ryan, now morning man at KDWB in Minneapolis. Dave Ryan is still heard on WNCI from time-to-time as "Hiram".

This clip is originally from the radio ... the photos have been added to avoid a blank screen. After all, this is You Tube!

From the user comments section, it appears that the sounder has a title: "Sohio Snowbound". The sound was created by Vlad Malakar at Audio Studios when they were in Cleveland. It was created by sped up, reversed and feedback-looped tape.
