Concerto for Marimba and Strings - Emmanuel Sejourne I. Tempo Souple
Performed by Patrick Timmis Concerto Competition Winners' Concert Gusman Concert Hall University of Miami - Frost School of Music Thomas Sleeper - Conductor February 5, 2011
Innovative Nebojsa Zivkovic mallets......NJZ-5 in the bass and NJZ-6's in the top 3 positions. These are really hard mallets, but because of the size of the orchestra and the hall, these are what projected best.....definitely not my recommendation if you're playing in a small venue and/or with a pianist.
Nice performance dude !!! Which mallets do you use ?

how did you get a hold of the string parts? I cant tell if the score on Steve Weiss has them or not. or if they need to be rented.

@macdrumr06
You have to rent the string parts from the publisher.......Norsk Musikforlag.

So is the low C cracked, or is it just the hardness of your mallet making it sound that way?
