great track from his clearly best album (well, at least for me). But I must say, I really enjoy the singing part, always thought that pete hicks did a pretty good job on Spectral Mornings, he got a characteristic voice that fits the mood of this song. Great moody track, thx for putting it up!

The very beginning of this song is quite similar to the beginning of the Queen song "Death on Two Legs". Both very good songs.

And this, my friends, goes a long way to explain exactly why Genesis would never be quite the same after 1977

can u imagine getting this in your head and the laying it down ?? FECKIN BRILLIANT by the most progressive guitarist EVER !!!! SHINE ON STEVE...........

THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS FOLKS !!

Steve is the only true Composer I have ever heard..this song features the tri-tone benchmark
That ending!! Oh how I still remember that ending. If ever Steve wrote a "lullaby" ending this is it. Layered Nylon and 12-string guitar in D-Em-A(add E).
Just listen to how exquisite this man's writing is. Far and away to me the greatest guitarist in the last 40 years.
Nobody plays and writes with such emotion as Steve Hackett. No One!
Sends chills of Joy thru my body and heart.
