Perhaps I was a little harsh.
Sorry.
Chris Spedding played a lovely disjointed solo on the orig and I was expecting something similar, but that is asking a lot. I like the 'Terry Smith' feel the guitar player settles into. I have every Nucleus album. I enjoy my homework.

yes, nice , b ut the original version, especially Chris Spedding´s s u p e r b bluesy jazz solo will not be reached again. Ian Carr´s Nucleus was one of the best ensembles of that genre!

He happens to be one of the best guitar players around. I love the entire thing

Great performance! Almost like watching the original Nucleus., Proves that this groundbreaking music really was ahead of its time. Thanks very much for this.

Sadly the UK/Europe jazz scene was very overlooked in it's day. Only thanks to labels like ECM are what brought it to the foreground(and even then it was still obscure). I thought that bands like Nucleus really were doing something a lot different...jazz rock fusion but not having to kill it with billions of notes and speed...although I like that stuff too...contrast is refreshing.

Thanks, I only wish that the gal who had done the editing was finished with the rest of the night...cool stuff was played by all.

That was going so well until the rock guitar solo came in.

That's what makes a horse race, different thing for different folks...what did you expect? A Joe Pass solo??? Nylon String Guitar??? Go listen to the original done by Nucleus...you have some homework to do
